J&K and Ladakh High Court District Judge (Entry Level) Direct Recruitment 2026 - 16 Posts
The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has invited fresh online applications for 16 posts of District Judge (Entry Level), pay level J-5 (Rs 1,44,840-1,94,660), by direct recruitment under Notification No. 2510 of 2026/RG. This notification replaces the 2024 advertisement (No. 1841 of 2024); eligible earlier applicants whose candidature was not rejected need not apply again. The last date has been extended to 15.11.2026.

Eligibility & age limit
Law degree recognised by the Bar Council of India, and at least 7 years of continuous practice as an advocate in civil and criminal courts (or 7 years combined experience as advocate and judicial officer for in-service candidates) as on the last date. Must be a J&K domicile or Ladakh resident and proficient in reading and writing Urdu. Age 35-45 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.
