Public Service Commission, West Bengal invites online applications for 1145 permanent posts of Sub-Surveyor in the Directorate of Land Records & Surveys, Department of Land & Land Reforms and RR&R, Govt. of West Bengal (Advt. No. 22/2024). Pay Level-7 (Rs 24,700-63,900) under WBS (ROPA) Rules, 2019. Ability to read, write and speak Bengali is essential (not mandatory for Nepali mother-tongue candidates).

Eligibility & age limit
Madhyamik (10th) or equivalent + 3-year Diploma in Survey Engineering (AICTE/WBSCTE affiliated); OR Madhyamik + 2-year ITI Surveyor certificate + 1 year experience in survey & settlement work using DGPS/ETS. Age 21-45 years as on 01.01.2024.

Selection process
Written Examination: Paper-I Bengali/Nepali (qualifying, 50 marks)
Paper-II MCQ 200 marks (English, Elementary Mathematics, Survey Engineering) with 0.25 negative marking
