Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has invited online applications under Advt. No. ICMR/DIR/02/2026-R&PCell for 5 Director (Group A – Scientific) posts in Level-14 (Rs 1,44,200–2,18,200) at ICMR-NIMR (Dwarka, New Delhi), ICMR-NITM (Belagavi), ICMR-RM NIHR (Patna), ICMR-NIHR North and ICMR-NIHR South. Recruitment is on Direct Recruitment / Deputation (including Short Term Contract) / Absorption basis with all-India transfer liability. Last date: 30.11.2026 till 5:30 PM. NIMR and NITM posts are against lien vacancies subject to reversion.

Eligibility & age limit
Essential qualification: MD/MS (or equivalent) recognised by MCI/NMC; OR MBBS (or equivalent) with MPH; OR Master’s in a Biomedical Sciences subject / MBBS with Ph.D. in a Biomedical Sciences subject from a recognised University. Essential experience: 15 years including 5 years in a managerial R&D position and 2 years regular service in Level-13A (or 7 years in Level-13) or equivalent. Deputation: analogous post holders from Central/State Govt or recognised autonomous organisations with the same EQ/experience; max age for deputation 58 years. Post-specific R&D experience areas apply (Malaria / Traditional Medicine / Communicable or NCD / RH / Child Health / Nutrition).
